New Whatcom Rowing
Is the first rowing club in the Northwest dedicated to open-water rowing. You can now enjoy the peace, wonder, and superb health benefits of rowing year-round right here on Bellingham Bay.
Year-round Rowing
The sheltering effect of South Hill from prevailing southerlies, allows New Whatcom rowers to row year-round between Fairhaven and Cornwall/GP (New Whatcom) alongside Boulevard Park. Loons, Goldeneyes, Cormorants, and curious harbor seals inhabit this calm stretch of water. No row is complete without a curious harbor seal popping up behind your boat.
Superb Cardiovascular Exercise
The sliding seat in concert with the rowing action exercises the three major muscles groups of your body: shoulder harness, torso, and legs. This is generally considered one of the finest, non-impact, form of exercise available to the human body.

Row at Your Own Pace
As a club member you'll learn how to row at your own pace with encouragement to use the education available on this website, through Demo Row Days, group rows, and through individual instruction to increase your skill and knowledge about tides, weather and wildlife... and how to row in it. Join us as we row Bellingham and Chuckanut Bay, away from the noise of cars and phones in the quiet of world-class scenery. Contact us at: info@nwrowing.us.
